L'index ROX peut être utile pour guider les cliniciens dans leur décision d'intuber les patients, en particulier chez les patients ayant une Insuffisance Respiratoire Aigue modérée, traités donc en dehors de l'USI par l'HFNC.

• Patient Covid-19
  • RoxIndex<5.99 est associé à un risque important d'échec devant faire recourir à l'intubation
• Patient non Covid-19
  • RoxIndex<4.9 est associé à un risque important d'échec devant faire recourir à l'intubation
